The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry will hold a discussion on ‘Women, Peace, and Security’ at 10:30 am on Friday, at the Kranidiotis Amphitheater (1 Akadimias street).

The event, which will be addressed by Minister George Gerapetritis, is being held on the occasion of adopting the first National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (2023-2028), a key pillar of Greece’s candidacy as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Speakers at the discussion will include Secretary General for Equality and Human Rights of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Zefi Dimadama; Professor of the Law School of Athens, President of the National Commission for Human Rights and Director General of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy Maria Gavouneli; Ambassador of Canada Anna-Karine Asselin; Ambassador of South Africa Lindiwe Gail Msengana-Ndlela; and Director-General of International Organizations and International Security and Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Theofili.
