“As long as our economy continues to grow with higher rates than those expected, an additional fiscal space will be created which will be used for new support measures” stated Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis in an interview with ANT1 TV on Tuesday.
Asked if the country will take measures for energy saving in autumn, he said that it is granted that if Russia interrupts the natural gas supply to Europe then all the countries will have problems. In that case, Greece will be forced to assume some measures but certainly we are and will be in a much better condition than the northern European countries.
On the inflation, he said that by the end of 2022, Greece’s inflation will be appoximately at the average European inflation.
Georgiadis noted that in 2022 we hit a investments record in Greece adding that the unemployment rate is at the lowest level in the last 15 years.
