“A large number of US funds and others want to invest mostly in the renewable energy sources sector, in tourism and real estate in Greece. We are expecting them and when we say we are expecting them we do not mean in a general way but within the next few days,” stated Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis, speaking online from New York on Wednesday to OPEN TV.
Referring to the Capital Link Forum taking place in the US, he noted: “Albert Bourla of Pfizer gave a spectacular speech in terms of COVID and the vaccine and on the course of Pfizer’s investment in Thessaloniki and its experience from investing in Greece. He said how well the investment in Thessalonini is going, pointing out the high quality of the workforce [Pfizer] found in Greece. It was a huge advertisement for Greece and its potential”.
Asked if there will be additional measures against the rise in prices he said the government “are constantly examining measures and trying to find ways to support the people that are struggling. It is our duty to find every last euro and every last solution to make their lives better. However, the measures will be announced gradually, not a new measure every day.”
