For his contribution to Greece and the Greek Diaspora, as well as for his overall political work and ethos Greek-American senator Gus Bilirakis was awarded from the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy Mr Ioannis Chrisoulakis in Greece.
Gus Bilirakis has a deep knowledge of the U.S. political system and an equally deep knowledge of the Greek reality, but also with his love for Greece has played an important role in US foreign policy in key issues for our country. Mr. Chrisoulakis expressed the deepest appreciation of Greece to Gus Bilirakis. “Your love for Greece is unquestionable. We are grateful for your invaluable contribution and for what you have achieved all these years” said.
