SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras stated in an interview with ‘Avghi’ newspaper on Sunday that he is ready for elections.
He blamed the Mitsotakis government for “the siege situation it has created” and added: “That is why we prefer to resort to the popular judgement as soon as possible.”
Tsipras also referred to the main priorities and the legislative initiatives that he will develop if he is elected: “We have already prepared the first legislative interventions. Abolishment of the anti-labour laws and support of the labour market. Strict application of the eight-hour working day and experimental application of the 35-hour. Progressive reforms in education and health.”
Among our priorities, Tsipras said, is also the strengthening of small and medium entrepreneurship, the write-off of part of the private pandemic debt, the solution of the youth and residence problems, the support of people with disabilities.
“I assure you that we are more prepared than ever, more experienced, and more determined,” he stressed.
