The Hellenic Initiative’s 7th Annual Gala on September 27

Supports Entrepreneurial Programs in Greece

NEW YORK CITY, September 17, 2019 — Greek jewelry and fashion designers from around the world have come together to help Greece’s economic recovery by donating items that will be sold in a silent and live auction on Friday, September 27 at The Hellenic Initiative’s (THI) 7th Annual Gala in New York City to be held at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Featured will be designs from Lalaounis, Nikos Koulis, Diane Kordas, Minas Studio, Ancient Greek Sandals, Callista Crafts, and more. Visit the auction website here for the full list, including art, wine, food, and luxury destinations.

THI leads the Greek Diaspora community internationally in raising awareness and capital for Greece. Its Gala not only raises funds that will be invested in entrepreneurial programs in Greece, but which also will support Greek NGOs that foster economic development opportunities and provide crisis relief for underserved communities in Greece, particularly children. Last year’s gala raised more than $2 million, making it the most successful fundraising event in the Greek Diaspora globally
