A student from Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, built a robot that stands out for its ability to “see” fires, detecting smoke, flame and changes in the forest and “sounding” an alarm.

Theodoros Tsaousis, currently a freshman at the Technical University of Crete, is the creator of Robot Hood or Forest Robot, which was presented at the recent 85th Thessaloniki International Fair at the NOESIS stand.

The Robot-Hood can move completely autonomously in the forest, carrying out “patrols”, without being discharged as it has an environmentally friendly photovoltaic panel. The peculiarity of the Robot-Hood is that it has “legs” and not wheels.
