The Greek Parliament’s Committee of Institutions and Transparency concluded the hearings of current and former heads of the National Intelligence Service (EYP) and others involved in its operations late on Thursday night, in relation to the eavesdropping case.

The closed-door meeting included the appearance of individuals proposed by parliamentary groups, and was held in the presence of Minister of State Giorgos Gerapetritis.

Starting at 10:00 am, the committee concluded its work near 9:00 pm, and hearings were held in two groups. The first one included former EYP chiefs Panagiotis Kontoleon (2019-2022), Ioannis Roubatis (2015-2019), Theodoros Dravillas (2012-2015), and former Secretary General of the prime minister Grigoris Dimitriadis.

The second group of hearings included current EYP chief Themistocles Demiris, EYP overseeing Athens Appeals court prosecutor Vassiliki Vlachou, Athens Appeals prosecutor Constantinos Tzavellas, and Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy chief Christos Rammos.
