During the past 49 years, we had to bear the loss of relatives, friends and supporters of the struggle of the Cypriot people for Freedom and Justice!
Today we mourn the passing of a true champion of freedom, Mr. Thasos Sophocleous, a leader of the liberation struggle of EOKA (1955-1959) who dedicated his life to Hellenic values, Hellenic ideals and Human Rights.
Today, we celebrate his life and hail his many achievements and call on all Cypriots to continue the fight against the illegal Turkish invasion and continued occupation.
May his memory be eternal!
