On Wednesday, June 24, the IOCC NYC Metro Committee hosted “A Night for Nepal,” a fundraiser happy hour and awareness night with all proceeds supporting the Nepalese, who were hit by a massive earthquake earlier this year. The event was hosted at a pub in downtown Manhattan and was well-received by the NYC Metro community, with over 80 guests showing up in support of the cause – sending emergency aid and disaster relief to Nepal. Uniquely, members of the IOCC NYC Metro Committee were able to “guest bartend,” personalizing the event. One hundred percent of the event’s door and online donations along with a portion of the bar sales and all the guest bartender tips will go to IOCC’s cause. The IOCC NYC Metro Committee thanks everyone for their support and looks forward to hosting another event in the Fall 2015.
