Journalist and writer Giannis Diakogiannis died on Tuesday at the age of 91.
He was considered among the top, maybe the top, sports journalists in Greece due to his extensive knowledge of classical athletics (track and field) and football and his profound and vivid sports commentary.
Diakogiannis was born in Athens and was involved with sports journalism from an early age.
