LIU STATEMENT ON 12TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11
******************************************
NEW YORK, N.Y. – City Comptroller John C. Liu stated the following today:
“Twelve years after 9/11, we remain in awe of the courage of the first responders who charged into the burning towers in a valiant effort to save lives, and we are still struck by the resilience of our beloved City, which rose so fast from the ashes. The magnificent One World Trade Center that is being built in the shadow of the fallen Twin Towers will serve as a lasting tribute to the courage and sacrifice of that day and a reminder that this great City cannot be defeated by the cowardly acts of haters. On this 9/11 anniversary, we must renew our resolve to the families of the brave men and women who died that they and their deeds will never be forgotten
