The key axis of our policy is to raise incomes, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Tuesday in an interview on the television show “Ateriasti”, with journalists Christos Koutras and Yiannis Tzounos, on SKAI television, questioned about the problem of high prices and the letter sent to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen by the prime minister.
Marinakis indirectly accused main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance of empty promises, saying that high prices cannot be tackled by “promising everything to everyone from the money trees”.
Regarding the Prespa Agreement, the spokesperson said that the main opposition’s stance was “incomprehensible” and insisted that Athens cannot ratify the memorandums envisaged under the Agreement when the other party of the agreement was refusing to comply with even the basics.
The interview also touched on relations with Turkiye, where he noted that dialogue can only benefit both countries.
