Greek businesses had a turnover of over 25 billion euros in July this year, recording an increase of about 5 billion euros or 24.3% compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
As announced by National Statistics Company, for all enterprises of the economy with the obligation to keep diplographic books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in July 2021 amounted to 25,364,077 thousand euros, recording an increase of 24.3% in compared to July 2020, which had amounted to 20,405,897 thousand euros. The largest increase was presented by the companies in the sector “Activities of accommodation services and catering services” by 172%. The smallest increase was presented by the companies in the “Information and communication” sector by 1.9%, while the largest decrease was recorded by the companies in the “Construction” sector by 11.5%.
For the companies that were put into operation in March 2020 with the obligation to keep bibliographic books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in July 2021 amounted to 2,371,484 thousand euros, an increase of 58.1% compared to with July 2020, which had amounted to 1,499,741 thousand euros. The largest increase was presented by the companies in the “Accommodation” sector by 233.1%, while the smallest increase was presented by the companies in the “Gambling and betting” sector by 3.5%.
