We represent the private school “Panagia Prousiotissa” (www.ppschool.gr), which has its seat in Agrinio, Western Greece, since 1957.
We are among the oldest and more well-known private educational institutes in Greece with a 59 year constant and successful service. Our students win prizes in Greek Competitions taking the highest places among thousands of participants. They excel in the entrance examinations to the H.E.I. of the country and succeed in all the high-ranking faculties.
“Panagia Prousiotissa” Summer School
We present the Summer School of our Institute (www.ppsummerschool.gr). It is intended for students 10 – 18 years old (with their attendants) and for university students aged 18-25 (with their attendants) from all over the world, who wish to get in contact with the Modern Greek language, the culture of Ancient Greeks, the archeological treasures, life in modern Greece, the manners and the costumes, nature, mountains, islands and sea of Greece.
Therefore, the guests of the Summer School have the opportunity to enrich their experience and their education by participating in school courses, tours, demonstrations, as well as, activities regarding environment, sports and entertainment.
Specifically we mention that our tours take place:
- In the archeological sites of Olympia, Delphi, Stratos , Thermo.
- On the island of Lefkada, place of incomparable beauty and in the captivating town of Nafpaktos.
- In places of Western Greece, unknown to lots of people, which will indulge the nature- worshippers such as Trichonida Lake, the River Acheloos, the Lagoon of Messologhi.
- In monasteries such as The Greek Orthodox Monastery of Myrtia and Proussos.
- In well known places of the Modern History of Greece, like The Holy Town of Messologhi .
Institute teachers
The courses are elaborated with responsibility and enthusiasm by experienced teachers of Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Romanian, Russian.
Facilities- Accommodation
The guests reside in our campus, which is modern and exemplary.
Our new cluster of buildings was completed in 2006 and it’ s situated in an area of 10 m² in the countryside, just 2km from the city of Agrinio. 2500 m² contain – apart from the teaching areas – football fields, basketball and volleyball courts, kitchen-dining room, areas of grass, half-shut areas. In each classroom of 60 m² a group of students can be accommodated.
Bed, breakfast and dinner, insurance and transport are provided.
