The 33rd Hermes Expo serves as more than just a catalyst for businesses seeking new opportunities and network expansion in America and Greece. The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation’s mission and scholarships were prominently promoted at the Hermes Expo held on Wednesday, June 19th, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, NJ.

“The PanHellenic goes ‘Beyond a Scholarship’ for its Scholars,” said Robert A. Buhler, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “PanHellenic Young Leaders are provided with internships through our Internship Alliance Program. We are pleased to partner with amazing companies to provide internships for high-achieving young professionals across the nation.” Chris Tomaras was the founder of the Foundation.

The 2024 Awards Ceremony and Gala was held on June 15th at the Hilton in Chicago. “The Paradigm Award Honoree is Tim Tassopoulos, President and Chief Operating Officer of Chick-fil-A, Inc. (retired),” said Ted S. Argeroplos, Director of the Board of Directors. “The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation’s 100 scholarship donors include Dr. Thomas & Dina Adams, The Harold V. Anagnos Charitable Fund, Frank and Diane Sigalos Belmonte and Family, Booth 10 Foundation – Gianakakos Family, Athanasios Damis, Annie Kyprianou, and Family; Constantine & Maria Danos, Peter & Catherine Fountas Family & Friends, Dr. Katherine Petropulos and Family, Dean Kanellos & Hariklia Karis and Family, Dr. Frank & Elizabeth Karkazis Family, Joseph & Anna Kokolakis, John Koudounis Family, Demetrios & Chrisoula Kozonis Family, Dr. Peter J. Director Argeroplos added, “The Scholarship 50 donors include Christ Panos Foods, Ares & Constandina Dalianis and Family, Hellenic Foundation, Gus & Gail Pablecas and Family, Manos and Limouris Families, and United Hellenic Voters of America. They recognize the academic achievement, community service, and leadership of young men and women in our community.”

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation has distributed over $4 million in scholarships to more than 550 deserving Greek American undergraduates since 2002. These scholars come from across the United States, representing over 200 colleges and universities. Founded in 2002, the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is the largest national nonprofit scholarship-granting organization dedicated to exceptional undergraduate students of Hellenic descent. The Foundation supports scholars’ efforts with monetary awards based on academic merit and financial need.

Requirements for the PanHellenic Scholarship include:
– Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
– Be of Hellenic descent
– Be a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited 4-year university (High school students are not eligible to apply)
– Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
