Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday chaired a meeting at the Maximos Mansion for the presentation of the report “Generative AI Greece 2030: The possible futures of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Greece”.
The report is yet another initiative in the context of making Artificial Intelligence a national priority, as Mitsotakis had announced when establishing the Advisory Committee on AI that will also generate the National Strategy for AI.
The specific study was carried out in the autumn of 2023 by the National Centre for Social Research (ΕΚΚΕ) and the National Centre for Scientific Research ‘Dimokritos’, with the support of the Special Secretariat of Foresight. It constitutes the first empirical strategic foresight research approach on the use of the Generative AI in Greece. The aim of the study is to form a framework of strategic initiatives and policies derived from the findings regarding the impact of the domestic Generative AI ecosystem up to the year 2030.
Participating in the meeting were Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou, State Minister Stavros Papastavrou, State Minister Akis Skertsos and Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis.
