Private building activity soared 95.5% in September this year, compared with the same month in 2020, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Monday. More specifically, a total of 1,974 building permits were issued, covering a surface of 709,000 m2 and 2,964,000 m3 in volume. These figures were 11.5% up compared with the same month last year, 82.2% in surface and 95.5% in volume. In the nine-month period from January to September, private building activity grew 26.9% in building permits, 59.2% in surface and 52.5% in volume in comparison with the same period in 2020.
