Shrine Chapter 500 was reactivated on September 27, 2019, at St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in Greenlawn, NY. Since then, they have been assisting the community in several ways. Recently, they raised over $4,000 for a COVID-19 food drive to support the local food banks in the Huntington area. This chapter has come a long way under the leadership of president Edwin Rivera with the support of Fr. Lou Nicholas.

At the convention, District 6 Governor Lou Katsos announced that this chapter was awarded 2020 District 6 Chapter of the Year. Secretary Dennis Lichas stated “Wow! We just won chapter of the year! We are doing great things and it is recognized.”

In a little less than one year, Shrine 500 performed exceptionally well since its reactivation in 2019. Congratulations, may you enjoy years of success, health and happiness, as the AHEPA brand journeys to its 100th Anniversary in 2022.
