One of the highlight moments in his speech was Schultz paraphrasing a remarkable quote from President Theodore Roosevelt. “It is not the critic that counts; it is not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, it’s the man in the arena, whose face is marred by sweat and dust and blood; who strives valiantly, who knows the great enthusiasms and the great devotions,” Schultz said.
He underscored that the greatest lesson that wrestling taught him was “taking responsibility for wins and losses.”
