Rhodes welcomes its first cruiseship of the year on Sunday, with MSC’s ‘Lirica’ bringing 1,787 tourists to the popular SE Aegean island.
The passengers were welcomed at the island at 10:00 am with a brief ceremony onboard the cruiseship for the exchange of gifts.
Local information said the passengers include Italian, French, Spanish, American, and British nationals. Most of them will go on excursions on the island, while the rest will tour the medieval and the modern town of Rhodes proper.
