Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance’s parliament spokesperson Panos Skourletis in an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency said that “New Democracy’s (ND) victory (in the elections) belongs to the past while in parallel SYRIZA-PA is gaining the citizens’ trust and widens its influence”
“After the Tempi train tragedy a large part of the society understood that the priority for ND’s extreme neoliberal strategy is the shrinking of the public sector and the handover of the strategic infrastructures and of the common good to privates either directly or indirectly”.
He also estimated that the elections will be judged according to which political force will be able to present a comprehensive changes programme that will answer to the problems and will open a new perspective for the society and especially for the young people.
He also insisted that, objectively, the conditions for a coalition government with PASOK-Movement for Change exist.
