The Acropolis Museum will celebrate the full moon on Tuesday with the event “Tango Acropolis” in the courtyard of the Acropolis Museum at 21:00. The event will begin with choreographies performed by internationally acclaimed tango dancers. The three-member orchestra “Con Estilo Tango” will then play pieces by the great musicians of the Golden Age, such as Astor Piazzola, Osvaldo Pugliese, Juan d’ Arienzo and others.
While they play, the museum’s front courtyard will be converted to a great “dance floor” open to both professional and amateur tango dancers.
Admission to the event is free, while the museum will remain open until midnight with free admission for all from 20:00, offering visitors the opportunity to view the galleries and exhibits and enjoy the view of the Sacred Hill under the moonlit Attic sky. The museum’s restaurant will be open at the same hours.
The “Tango Acropolis” event is taking place under the auspices of the Argentinian Embassy.
