Dr. Ioannis Efthimiopoulos presented “The Truth” on his education career in America. His book “I Alithea” (The Truth) was presented on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Vista LIC Hotel in Long Island City, New York. One from the education, business, and church community attended. A lavish reception was served. All enjoyed a scenic background of the New York City skyline. Vista owner Mr. Psaros and the staff were gracious and hospitable.

Dr. Efthimiopoulos gave complementary copies of his book to all who attended. The evening program included: presenters A.H. Diamataris and Dr. Constantine Drosatos; Dr. and Mrs. Efthimiopoulos; President Stella Kokolis, the Federation of Greek Teachers of America: and President Vasiliki Filiotis, Hellenic Paideia of America. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Zervoudis hosted the event, free to the public. President Kokolis and President Filiotis assisted in the event’s organization.

“I have always respected the church and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese,” said Dr. Efthimiopoulos. “I have revealed the truth in my book. I gave you my heart and soul. I feel reborn.” The book is in Greek., covering his work in Chicago 1998-2003 and New York City 2005-2019. He is a primary source. The book should be translated into English. In his book’s opening pages, the author thanked the following supporters in this order of importance: Mr. Stilianos “Steve” Zervoudis; Stavros Haviaras: Stella Kokolis, President of the Federation of Greek Teachers of America: Vasiliki Filiotis, President of Hellenic Paideia of America, Niko Gavala; Nikitas Theologitis; George Kitsios, Greek American Homeowners Association, and others in this exact order.

It is common knowledge that Dr. Ioannis Efthimiopoulos, the Director of the Greek Education Department, success from 2004-2015 in New York City was due to the support and enormous financial spending of legendary educator/community activist

Mrs. Stella Kokolis. Mrs. Kokolis financially supported his first four books. “Dr. Efthimiopoulos wants to clear his name,” believes Mrs. Kokolis. “I always stood by him. Certain book topics can be questioned and challenged. In the end, Dr. Efthimiopoulos advised all to support the church and education.”Mrs. Kokolis was assisted by Vasiliki Filiotis and her network. Victimization is the theme of writers in 2023 books. Efthimiopoulos describes his own victimization in not implementing his education goals. WHAT IS UNSAID IS UNDERSTOOD.

“Prometheus and Hellenic Paideia of America have supported Dr. Efthimiopoulos’s projects, Explained President Filiotis. “Our main responsibility is to give Greek letters and civilization to our youth.”

Eirini Grapsia, Acting Coordinator of Educational Affairs of the Coordinating Office of Greek Education at the Consulate General of Greece in New York, said “this evening was a wonderful opportunity to meet and discuss education issues.” Mrs. Pandora Spelios said “I Alithea” book presentation was a marvelous dinner event with amazing views all around.” For more information, email [email protected].
