During the first meeting of the Committee on Greeks Abroad, the chairman Mr. Alexandros Triantafillidis set the following priorities:

Preservation and enhancement of Greek cultural identity in the host countries, with the simultaneous dynamic integration of Greeks abroad in the activities of “new homeland”. INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION.
The strengthening of existing institutions for the Greeks abroad and the emergence of promoting new on the basis of mutual interests. Enhancing their ability to maximize their utility and their influence in the country living with mutually beneficial initiatives, actions and interventions. EDUCATION OF GREEKS ABROAD-STRENGTHENING AND PROMOTING GREEK LANGUAGE by using universities departments for Greek language, and the Greek language centers-institutes in Greece and abroad.
Priority in the field of Economy aiming at attracting small and large investments by Greeks abroad in Greece.
Transparent and cost control initiatives of the Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad.
Come up against issues of bureaucracy and mismanagement, through the operation of Citizen Service Centers for Greeks abroad.
Establishment of an inter-ministerial body for the cooperation of applied government policy in order to avoid so piecemeal policies and non-articulated policy measures.
Strengthening the satellite channels ERTSAT, ERT3 and radio The VOICE OF GREECE to better awareness and information of Greeks abroad, and exploit the Greek media abroad.
