The Unified Digital Map and the National Construction Registry are “the multitools of a silent revolution in Greece’s construction sector,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said at the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) on Wednesday.
The two tools “directly provide every information to move any technical project forward, any investment, and on the other hand they provide a real-time picture of infrastructure throughout Greece,” Mitsotakis said at the event to present the two tools that was held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
“What you saw today was another bold step toward modernization, with the double political choice of the government lying at its heart – the promotion of a collective development but also of an easier daily life for citizens,” the PM added.
He noted however that a lot more needs to be done in the construction sector, including the issuing of building licenses online.
