Inflation at 2.7 pct in July against 2.3 pct in June

Inflation accelerated in July this year, rising to 2.7 percent from 2.3 percent in June and up from 2.5 percent in July last year. The main reasons are the price increases in several foods (e.g. olive oil +56.7 percent) but also in natural gas and a multitude of services, according to a Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) report on Friday.
