The overall turnover index in industry in July 2024 recorded an increase of 11.7% compared with the corresponding index of July 2023, according to figures released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Friday. The Overall Turnover Index in Industry in July 2023 decreased by 10.3% compared with the corresponding index in July 2022.
According to ELSTAT, the increase in the turnover of domestic industry was due to:
1. Changes in the sub-indices of the industrial sections: a 49.7% increase in the turnover index in mining and quarrying; an 11.4% in the turnover index in manufacturing.
2. Changes in the sub-indices in Domestic and Non-Domestic Markets: the turnover index in industry in the non-domestic market increased by 12.1%; the turnover index in industry in domestic market increased by 11.5%.
There was also a 12.3% increase in the overall turnover index in industry in July 2024, relative to June 2024.
