Authorities should provide an official list of people missing after the deadly collision of two trains on Tuesday night, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance spokeswoman Popi Tsapanidou said on Thursday.
“Nearly 24 hours after the tragedy at Tempi, and there is still no official announcement on the number of missing persons,” Tsapanidou said in a statement.
She appealed to authorities “to provide at last the true picture of the tragedy’s extent,” noting that “respect to the dead and to those who mourn for them also requires respect for the truth.”
At least 46 people died in the crash between a passenger and a freight train travelling on the Athens-Thessaloniki route.
