“At stake in the elections is [a choice between] the future or the past,” Minister of Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis said on Wednesday in a radio interview with Real FM, pointing out that “there are battles that we have to fight as a country, as a people in a changing world.”
He noted that “the May 21 elections are a referendum on political stability, we need to establish political stability so that all our efforts can continue, to clear the backlog from all these years of crisis. And also, finally, for the country to go where it deserves.”
Pierrakakis underlined the great response to gov.gr as over 8 million Greeks have entered and used its services, there were 1.2 billion digital transactions recorded in 2022, while it offered more than 1,530 digital services. “People have universally embraced the digitisation of the state, no matter what they vote for, everyone wants to see bureaucracy reduced,” he said.
