Seventy-one of 104 rescued migrants that were on board the vessel that capsized in international waters off the coast of Pylos, arrived on Friday at the Malakassa reception facility.
The migrants were escorted by a Migration and Asylum Ministry delegation, which went to Pylos to assist the local authorities and offer humanitarian aid.
Upon their arrival at Malakassa they were briefed by staff from the ministry and the centre regarding the launch of the process for their registration and identification, while they also answered their questions.
The migrants were also briefed by an UNCHR delegation, while they will be examined by the doctors at the Malakassa facility.
