Education, Religion and Sports Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis, in a post on “X”, referred to his participation in the “6th #EduSummitEU” conference on Artificial Intelligence and its applications, especially in the public sphere.
Pierrakakis focused on the issues of education and how Artificial Intelligence can effectively help in the great improvements required to keep up with the needs of the times.
“AI is the great challenge of our time and in the framework of the 6th #EduSummitEU I participated online in the discussion about the future of education in the age of Artificial Intelligence. Digital transformation can help make education more responsive to students’ needs,” he said.
The digitisation of public services that we have achieved in previous years has many elements in common with the challenge of digitisation in Education. Artificial Intelligence will help us simplify processes even more and create large reservoirs of knowledge.
He said the focus will be on three lines of actions – completing the legislative measures for Artificial Intelligence, monitoring and evaluating its applications in education and the continuous training of teachers and students in its correct and effective use.
“Artificial Intelligence is one of the great challenges of our time. And, by articulating the right questions, we will shape the appropriate answers,” he added.
