The Coast Guard located and rescued 61 undocumented migrants that were on a sailboat in distress at the sea area 9 nautical miles south of the island of Serifos on Friday.
All the migrants were transferred from the sailboat to the Coast Guard’s patrol vessel that took them to the port of Lavrio from where they will sent to the reception centre of Malakasa.Two individuals 25 and 28- years-old, allegedly the traffickers, that were among the migrants were arrested.
