The research organisation diaNEOsis and the “Friends of Music Society” are jointly organising an event on Wednesday, October 18 at the Athens Concert Hall, entitled “Culture: Our great competitive advantage.”
The event will take place at the Athens Concert Hall, in two different halls, to mark 70 years of the presence of the ‘Friends of Music Society’ and the publication of the new survey by diaNEOSIS on culture in Greece.
The aim of the event is to investigate current issues concerning culture as a creator of social values and to submit proposals for the problems that continue to plague the sector.
“The relevant survey of diaNEOsis attempts a complete mapping of the cultural sector in Greece,” the organisers noted. “In what ways can culture contribute to the production of social and economic value? How could our country make better use of the Cultural and Creative Sectors? In recent years, the dialogue has intensified on the ways in which the multifaceted sector of culture can be a driver of sustainable development, regional revitalisation and a development tool.”
