Dear Members, Friends and Community Leaders,
Lampros, a 4 1/2 year old boy from Cyprus, has spent most of his life in and out of intensive care at Tel Hashomer-Sheba Hospital near Tel Aviv. His parents, Pantelis and Christina, have been with him, and for the past 4 years have been unemployed. The cost of treatment is covered by the Republic of Cyprus, and the family depends on loans, family and friend contributions, and the occasional fund raiser to support themselves.
Lampros suffers from a very rare disorder, General Lymphangiomatosis. He is arriving in Philadelphia on Monday, 28DEC15 in a special medevac flight from Tel Aviv. He will be treated at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, by Dr. Yoav Dori, who has developed a novel procedure which addresses some of the main problems of the disease.
We are working with the American Jewish Community in Philadelphia/South Jersey and the AHEPA Chapter in Philadelphia to support the family. We also need your and your organization’s support as well.
