Some artists become a part of our identity, their songs, and their voice, somehow, become attached to our memories, moments of sadness, loneliness, joy, our big moments and small intimate ones.

Vicky Mosholiou is such an artist. Her deep, Doric voice and the songs of the great Greek composers and poets have been engraved in our childhood, our youth.

Eleni Andreou honors this great artist in one concert on Sunday, October 14, at 5 pm at the Hellenic Cultural Center 27-09 Crescent Street, Astoria, NY 11102. Joining her are the renowned musicians: Diamantis Tziovas, Mihalis Michaelidis, Angelo Papadatos, Theodore Tsinias, and  Diodoros Pagoudis.

The net proceeds of this event will go to the Hellenic Relief Foundation, a non-profit organization which has been helping families in Greece cope with dignity in such difficult times.

Eleni Andreou believes that we need to pay tribute and honor the artists that have been instrumental in shaping our music culture and she invites us to become one big warm group, one “parea” and sing along those timeless, magical songs.
