Eleven monkeypox cases have been recorded up until Thursday, July 7 in Greece, according to the National Public Health Organisation (EODY).
Six of the cases were imported, with four saying they had come into contact with a suspicious case from abroad in Greece, while one infection did not appear linked to travel abroad or contact with a suspicious case.
The infected individuals are recovering or have already recovered and are in good clinical condition. The risk of the monkeypox infection remains low for the general population.
