The Hellenic Investment and Trade Company (Enterprise Greece) participated in 45 business meetings at the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) on April 15 to 17 in Berlin.

Withing the framework of IHIF, Enterprise Greece operated a designated exhibition space for the meetings, which focused on communication regarding already mature contacts interested in investments in Greece. Greek business representatives also took part in a panel at the event.

Additionally, it organized events attended by executives from the international and Greek business communities to discuss new developments and investment opportunities offered by Greece.

Enterprise Greece also hosted a roundtable discussion dedicated to Greece titled “Greek Hospitality: Investment and Development Opportunities in a Thriving Market,” attended by 70 industry representatives from around the world. In the roundtable discussion, Enterprise Greece presented and discussed investment opportunities in the tourism sector in the country.

CEO of Enterprise Greece Marinos Giannopoulos stressed: “Greece’s recent success is based on a comprehensive and dynamic approach to economic revitalization, characterized by an outstanding transformation through significant reforms. As stated in a press release: “The majority of participants in the events observed a strong interest in the development of high-level services in Greece, as evidenced by the entry of more industry brands into our country and the further expansion of already established hotel chains. Equally strong is the interest in projects with an environmental footprint and the promotion of the advantages of the local element.”

The IHIF has been the tourism industry’s leading event and the largest and most influential meeting place for the hotel investment community for 26 years, bringing together a very senior gathering of more than 2,500 lead executives from 41 countries, among them nearly every major hotel chain CEO, influential global tourism ministers, developers, real estate professionals, and the largest group of investors and hotel owners.
