The 1st trilateral meeting of the defence ministers of Cyprus, Greece and Jordan was underway on Wednesday in Nicosia.
The meeting was the result of ongoing efforts by the leaders of the three countries to further deepen their already excellent relations in specific areas, including defence and security. The three countries have age-old and stable relations, which were built over the course of their history but also the effort for a better and more secure future.
At the same time, they will have the opportunity to discuss developments in the wider Middle East region and the threats that undermine security, stability and peace.
In addition to the trilateral meeting, separate bilateral meetings will be held between the ministers and the delegations of the three countries.
