The Flying Pig opened recently on the site of the former Irish Pub. The new operation is managed and operated by a team of four cousins with extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, who have expended a huge amount of effort and money to develop what they feel is a unique entertainment and dining environment. One senses this uniqueness as soon as one approaches the Tavern and sees the large brightly colored statue of the Tavern’s mascot, the Flying Pig.

Inside the richly appointed bar area, more than 20 craft beers are available, including 10 from New Jersey-based microbreweries. More than a dozen domestic and imported alcoholic beverages are also available in cans and bottles.

The menu, which is constantly being refined and perfected, contains much more than ‘ordinary‘ bar food, and at present lists no less than 93 items. In such categories as items to share, salads and soup, wings, pizza, sandwiches, large plates, burgers, sides, and desserts. Most of the items on the menu have been crafted by members of the management team. Highlights of the menu include: The Big Dip: Fire Roasted Feta Cheese with Jalapeno Peppers, Diced Tomatoes, and Chips, all prepared in an iron skillet; The Big Pig Burger, consisting of Bacon, Onion Straws, Jack Cheese, Barbecue, and Hand Formed [Never Frozen] Signature Beef Patties; Chicken “65”, a Spicy, Deep Fried Chicken dish from India in which the Chicken is marinated in Greek Yogurt, Curry Powder, and Spices and is then served over rice; and for Desert, Nutella Pizza!
