Greece will assist the Republic of Cyprus in its efforts to resume negotiations, to resolve the Cyprus issue, on the basis of the UN Security Council and the European acquis, said Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias after wrapping up his meetings with Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia on Tuesday.
“Our vision remains one that sees an island united, free from occupation troops, free from anachronistic guarantees. We will continue to condemn illegal Turkish actions,” Dendias added, “which cannot go unanswered at EU level,” he pointed out.
