Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias participated remotely in the 12th EU-Israel Association Council meeting held in Brussels on Monday.
The EU delegation was led by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy Josep Borrell, and Israel’s delegation was led by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Yair Lapid.
On Twitter, the Greek foreign affairs ministry wrote that in his remarks during the meeting Dendias “highlighted the need to deepen EU-Israel cooperation, including on energy, Greece-Israel close ties both bilaterally and multilaterally, and counterproductive moves in Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean.”

Israel’s new Ambassador to Greece, Noam Katz, thanked Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias “for Greece’s support and friendship” in a tweet on Monday evening.
“A very good day for EU-Israel relations,” added Katz, in reference to the 12th EU-Israel Association Council meeting held in Brussels on Monday, which was attended remotely by Dendias.
