The Hermes Expo is proud to announce that Mr. George Siamboulis, Past President and Honorary President of Pan Gregorian Enterprises and President of Pan Gregorian of America, will be honored with the prestigious Philotimo Award at the 32nd Hermes Expo. The event will take place on June 14th at the Grand Marquis, located in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

The Philotimo Award is presented to individuals who exemplify the highest ideals of philanthropy, dedication, and ethical leadership. Mr. Siamboulis’ outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment to his community make him a deserving recipient of this esteemed recognition.

Born in Kalesmeno Evrytanias, Greece, Mr. Siamboulis overcame numerous challenges and worked tirelessly to provide a better future for his family. In 1969, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and two daughters, settling in West Orange, NJ. Determined to seize the opportunities that the land of opportunity offered, he quickly established himself as an entrepreneur.

Mr. Siamboulis purchased his first restaurant in Clifton, NJ, just two years after arriving in the States. In 1974, he acquired the Tom Sawyer Diner in Paramus, where he remains a proud owner to this day. Through his business ethics, organizational skills, and dedication to quality and customer service, the Tom Sawyer Diner has become a beloved landmark and a culinary gem in Bergen County.

In 2006, tragedy struck when the Tom Sawyer Diner was reduced to ashes. Undeterred, Mr. Siamboulis made the courageous decision to rebuild, driven by a deep sense of responsibility to the generations of patrons who cherished the restaurant. With the support of his family, he successfully reestablished the Tom Sawyer Diner, which has since thrived as a testament to his resilience and determination.

Throughout his remarkable journey, Mr. Siamboulis has played an integral role in various organizations. Since 1983, he has been affiliated with Pan Gregorian Enterprises, Inc., where he has served as President since 1998. Additionally, he became the President of Pan Gregorian of America upon its inception in 2009. His exceptional leadership and organizational skills have propelled Pan Gregorian’s growth and increased its membership volume.

Notably, Mr. Siamboulis has also dedicated himself to serving the Greek Orthodox Church and community. He has held positions on the boards of the Kalesmeno Society, the Evrytania Society, and the Velouchi Association. Furthermore, as an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to his faith and heritage.
