Environment and Energy Ministry will immediately launch a campaign to inform the citizens on the ways they should move in the winter in order to reduce the huge damage to the Greek economy and to their households from Putin’s energy war in Europe, Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis said οn Saturday in an interview with MEGA TV.
“We have to keep in mind that we should not spend the electricity in the way we did in the previous years, electricity is now very expensive” Georgiadis said.

He said that Europe and Greece are moving towards the most difficult winter since 1942. The oil price is now six times cheaper than the natural gas. Putin is using the natural gas as a weapon against Europe, he does not only attack Ukraine but is also Europe’s enemy.

“There is no doubt that the Greek government will continue to support the citizens. The economy is going very well, better than all the European countries, we have a triple record in investments and tourism which is the best performance of our economy in the country’s history”, he said. “Our policies will be targeted to those in need and will not be general measures and this because the next months will be difficult and we must act with prudence. We do not have money to throw away; we have a specific budget and fiscal targets to implement. The measures will be announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF)” he concluded.
