It is the first in the world energy autonomous greenhouse that was installed and operates since September in Thermi, Thessaloniki by the Greek company OET, within the European Agrores program. The greenhouse not only offers an ecological solution with zero environmental footprint, but also increases the production by up to 20% and drastically reducing the payback time of the investment.
The innovative greenhouse uses both solar energy and energy produced by organic photovoltaics produced by the Greek company OET, wind energy when there is increased wind intensity, but also a power generating pair that uses recyclable oils.
The great advantage of the 3rd generation photovoltaics produced in Greece is that they can be placed on any surface because they are flexible and they have very good efficiency in diffused light.
In addition, the owner of the greenhouse can control its functions remotely, but also to monitor the energy production from the hybrid system and in addition to monitor parameters related to the microclimate that is formed inside (temperature, humidity, radiation, etc.)
This energy autonomous system operates for the first time in the world in Thermi, Thessaloniki and can be used for any use in remote areas, on islands, for the needs of the Army etc.
