Industrial production grew 8% in November 2021 with manufacturing production rising by 9.1% in the month, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Monday.
More specifically, the industrial production general index rose 8% in November 2021 compared with November 2020, after an 8.9% increase recorded in the same period in 2020/2019. Manufacturing production grew 9.1% in November, reflecting an 84.9% jump in clothing, 66.7% rise in leather products, 46.1% in furniture, 40.3% in other manufacturing activities, 28.7% in tobacco, 21.8% in alcohol, 18.1% rise in printing. Mining production rose 5.9%, electricity production was up 4.7% and water production rose 2.9%.
The average industrial production index in the January-November period rose 10% compared with the corresponding period in 2020, while the seasonally-adjusted index fell 1.2% in November from October 2021.
