Flushing – Kalamaki GR has a major reason to celebrate. It has been named “Best Greek Restaurant” in the borough of Queens, New York.
This marks the third consecutive year that Kalamaki has garnered this recognition (2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively) from the Queens community. It has earned praise for its gyros, which are just as good, “if not better than the best gyros in Greece,” according to the “Best of Queens”; moreover, the restaurant has been described as a “simple, contemporary eatery” that serves traditional Greek specialties with “a twist.”

Ironically enough, Kalamaki was proclaimed “Best Greek Restaurant” in Queens, in January of 2016 by Digital Journal, which re-assures that this “Best of Boro” voting was indeed based on merit.

The restaurant serves everything from skewers to beef to chicken “bifteki,” as well as shish kebabs and “donner,” coupled with Greek salads and spinach pie, or as they say “spanakopita” in Greek. It offers deliveries and a catering menu. Kalamaki is located on 29-06 172nd Street in Flushing, New York 11358.
