Former foreign minister and main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance sector chief for foreign policy, Giorgos Katrougalos, on Sunday denounced Turkey’s “unacceptable practices of weaponising refugees and migrants” in a post on social media, referring to the 92 migrants left naked at the border in Evros.
“The unacceptable practice by Turkey of weaponising the suffering of refugees and migrants is absolutely condemnable. Greece must immediately internationalise the issue of the 92 refugees in Evros to the United Nations and the European Union. The request to Turkey to investigate the issue is not enough,” Katrougalos said.
