Kontos Heads back to Cologne, Germany, for Anuga 2019

Paterson, New Jersey – Oct. 1, 2019 – Kontos Foods, Inc. a U.S.- based manufacturer and distributor of traditional artisan breads and Mediterranean specialty foods, will be heading to Germany, Oct. 5-9 for Anuga, the world’s largest trade show catering to the food catering, retail and trade. Kontos will be showing off its full line of breads, including its Pocket-Less Pita®, Greek Lifestyle Flatbread and more. Anuga takes place every other year in Cologne, Germany. This year Kontos will be featuring its newest flatbread: Gorditas, handmade soft “taco shells,” perfect for making stuffed taco sandwiches, filled with meat, cheese, salsa or sour cream. Like most of Kontos flatbreads, Gorditas contain No Trans Fats, are 100 percent vegetarian, Certified Kosher-Pareve (Pas Yisroel) and Halal. Other featured items include: Toasted Tidbits™, made from sliced Kontos’ signature GYRO Bread, toasted into delicious Tidbits™, as well as favorites such as Pre-Grilled Cocktail Flatbreads, Pre-Grilled, Mini Oval Flatbreads, Gluten-Free Wraps. In addition to its many breads, some of Kontos featured specialty products include All-Natural, French-Style Crepes, International Pastry Puffs (also known as Loukoumades or Zeppole), Greek Yogurt, Imported Feta Cheese, Dolmades, Hummus, and Tzatziki dips. It will also be showing off Fillo dough of varying thicknesses and pre-made appetizers and pastries such as Spanakopita and Tyropita.
More than 7,400 exhibitors from more than 107 countries will be attending Anuga. The show forecasts another 165,000 trade visitors from 180 countries will tour the booths and attend the sessions to learn about food trends ranging from innovations in food technology to consumers’ changing diet preferences.
