“We look forward to gathering together some of the top regional experts in arrhythmias for a day devoted to improving patients’ health, longevity and well-being,” said Peter Kowey, MD, William Wikoff Smith Chair, Cardiovascular Research at Lankenau Institute for Medical Research and Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. “So many new and novel approaches in cardiac arrhythmia care have emerged in recent years that it may be difficult for health care professionals to keep track of the very latest developments. Symposium participants will be able to return to their practices armed with the most up-to-date, evidence-based, practical information to improve patient outcomes.”

Charles Antzelevitch, Ph.D., Professor and Executive Director of Cardiovascular Research at LIMR, and Director of Research at Lankenau Heart Institute, noted, “The meeting is also designed to provide an understanding of genetic, cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as the mechanisms underlying the ameliorative effects of drugs and other therapeutic modalities.”

The symposium is open to electrophysiologists, cardiologists and allied health care professionals, including nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants and technicians, who treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Registration is required. Physician continuing education credits will be available. The full agenda for this one-day educational event is available here.

The event will be held in the auditorium at LMC, 100 Lancaster Ave., Wynnewood, Pa., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 pm. For more information and to register, visit https://events.medtelligence.net/lan16.html or click here.
